We aim to deliver high quality phonics teaching which secures the crucial skills of word recognition that, once mastered, enables children to read fluently and automatically. At Barford Primary, we use the Monster Phonics scheme to achieve this. Monster Phonics creates a love of learning. It makes phonics easier to learn, which accelerates progress and gives children more confidence. Phonics is brought to life across the school with highly engaging lessons.
